Started hearing rumors between 5th and 6th period at AHS. The principal came on the loudspeaker to say that the rumors were not true. Sadly, he was wrong.

It is also the 55th anniversary of the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show. Any comments?

I watched the show. I came to like the Beatles very much, but I wasn't all that impressed when they first appeared on the music scene.

I knew Mel slightly. I would sometimes run into him on the bus from Arlington to Harvard Square. He was a very nice guy; friendly and soft-spoken. I didn't know of his passing until reading the comments on here. I was very sorry to hear of it.
