I didn't know Bob, but having read his obituary, I am once again impressed by an AHS classmate. It doesn't seem that Bob went to college after high school but rather to Viet Nam. After that he was a lifelong learner and traveled the world. Miss Rounds would tell us that education comes from the Latin 'ex' 'duco'.. 'ex' meaning out from; 'duco, ducere', to lead, so education is leading one out from the known to the unknown. Bob seems to have educated himself in the best sense, leaving the known for the unknown all his life. What an exciting way to spend one's time on earth..a life well lived. Hail and farewell, Bob!
