Dear Di,

The only thing sad about our 50th high school reunion for me is that you will not be there. I can't think about those good old days without thinking of you: of you in the vibrancy of youth at Peirce School as you excelled in softball; of our long walks home from Junior High West and AHS sharing all the details of our day; of our stops at Brigham's in the Heights where you always got chocolate chip and I always got mocha almond; of our weddings where we were each others bridesmaids and confidants; of my 25th wedding anniversary and renewal of vows where you arrived with a special cake; of my mother's funeral where you comforted me 2 months after we buried your 23 year old daughter, Kristen. You were always a loyal friend I could count on. Life only gives each of us a few of your kind. I miss you every day but I will especially miss you October 11th, 2014. Love you always, old friend. Jane

Although much time has passed and our lifes have not crossed since, I remember you both fondly.
