Marcia (Glynn) Gaudet

It is with great sadness that I write to let you know of the passing of our classmate Marcia Glynn Gaudet.  She died today from complications due to open heart surgery.  She is the twin sister of Paula (Glynn) Urquhart who is also our classmate.  She is a cherished friend that we will miss immensely.

Obituary

Marcia Glynn Gaudet, 75, of West Yarmouth, MA, beloved wife of Richard A. Gaudet, passed away unexpectedly Thursday June 18, 2020 at Cape Cod Hospital.

Born in Cambridge, MA, she was the daughter of the late Angela and Francis Glynn.  She was raised and educated in Arlington and was a graduate of Arlington High School, class of 1964.

Marcia worked for the MWRA, in Boston, for many years, in procurement administration.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was generously supportive of her children and especially her grandchildren in all of their endeavors.  She created a wonderful example of a strong, loving mother for her family.  Always there in any time of need, Marcia was steadfast in her convictions and her love of her family.

Oh how she loved to make her biscotti cookies for everyone and ready to give a batch away to all who loved them. She was an avid cook and shared her love with her many gourmet creations for family and friends.

Marcia is survived by her devoted husband, Richard A. Gaudet of West Yarmouth, MA; her daughter, Michelle Kenny and her husband Richard of Danvers, MA; her son, Jeffrey Corbett of Lake Worth, FL; Richard Gaudet and his wife, Donna of Windsor, CT; Barbara Hiltz and her husband, David of Bedford, MA; Michelle McGovern and her husband, Keith of Beverly MA. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Kaitlyn St. Pierre and her husband Patrick of Groveland, MA; Meghan Kenny and Shannon Kenny; Alyssa Carr, Craig Surdam, Derek and Chad Gaudet, Garrett and Kendall Hiltz; Abigail and Jack McGovern, and three great grandchildren, Layla, Nathan and Olivia.  

She was the loving twin sister of Paula (Glynn) Urquhart and her husband Gerald of Duxbury, MA. 

Loving Aunt of nephew, Jason Urquhart and his wife Patti and their children Cameron, Cooper, and Sadie of Plymouth, MA and Niece, Jennifer Urquhart Collyer and her Husband Andrew and their son Heath of Townsville, Australia.

A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Pius the X Church on Station Ave., South Yarmouth, MA.  Graveside service following at Ancient Cemetery, Yarmouth, MA.
