Arlington Memorial Day Ceremony

May 25 Memorial Day Ceremony
Arlington’s annual Memorial Day observances are scheduled for Monday, May 25, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
- 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. – Community gathering of remembrance at the Robbins Memorial Town Hall Auditorium (Doors open at 8:30 a.m.)
- 9:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. – All attending invited to move across the Town Hall Garden to the Old Burying Ground adjacent to the Whittemore Robbins House
- 10:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. - Decoration of memorial sites at the Old Burying Ground
- 10:15 a.m. to 10:25 a.m. – All attending invited to assemble in the driveway between the Library and the First Parish of Arlington and join in procession to Mount Pleasant Cemetery
- 10:30 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. – Procession steps off and moves down Massachusetts Avenue, up Medford Street, then in through the third gate of Mount Pleasant Cemetery
- 10:50 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. – Procession through and decoration of memorial sites at Mount Pleasant Cemetery

Volunteers Sought For Placing Flags on Veteran Graves
Arlington residents are invited to assist in placing flags on the graves of our veterans in preparation for Memorial Day. On Saturday May 16th and Saturday May 23rd, the Director of Veterans' Services is seeking community volunteers to participate in placing flags on the graves of our veterans at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Both events will run from 9:00am - 12:00pm, and these events will take place regardless of the weather. No RSVP's needed.
